Sword Group is an international IT Services company which acquired Global Software Services in 2004 to integrate an Indian offshoring capability. Global Software Services was formed out of Third Wave Systems, UK (my earlier company) Strategic, Operational and Change management with a focus on sourcing in India.  Acquired and managed, for Sword Group, long-term strategic change management and transformation projects and services in India with Agile methodology.  Managed the transition and setting up of business centres in Wales, UK.  All client business above were won and signed by me as a direct result of my convincing the businesses to change their sourcing strategy using my operational and technical involvement supported by excellent levels of client satisfaction.  Achieved costs savings of up to 50% and a flexible additional resourcing capability by finding and implementing international outsourcing initiatives for several clients.  Provided due diligence, to support M&A initiatives of Sword, in the UK, India and Indonesia including validation of controls on delivery management, sourcing and quality assurance processes.  Enabled and managed the certification of SEI CMM Level 5 Quality Management Systems for the development centres in India. I introduced innovative quality processes leading to huge improvements to the quality of delivery, performance and nearly 100% client satisfaction.

Onshore – Offshore Outsourcing IT management in India for UK clients  I acquired, managed and delivered IT projects and services to Legal and General, Prudential, Royal & Sun Alliance, Travelex and North West Water in the UK using an Indian offshore sourcing model for which I was involved in setting up and managing our own offshore centre in Chennai, India.  All client business above were won and signed by me as a direct result of my convincing the businesses to change their sourcing strategy using my operational and technical involvement supported by excellent levels of client satisfaction.

Set up of captive IT centre in India


I successfully set up and managed a captive offshore development centre in India for the client after evaluating the best location. The centre is now up and running and the client has been incredibly impressed by the professionalism and quality of my work. The client felt that my depth of technical expertise, knowledge of IT development methodologies and my experience on Accounting, Legal and HR practices in India was key to the successful achievement of their operation in India. The client now has access to a valuable pool of highly skilled resource to value add to their IT department saving money and increasing productivity. I used extremely good connections and contacts throughout India all of which proved invaluable to us getting the Indian centre up and running. The client believes that I always accomplished to their expectations, on time, with exceptional quality and to the highest standards.
